Bio

Magali Wilensky

is an award-winning New York-based textile artist, sound healer, teacher and mother of two, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She has her BFA in Fine Arts from The Art Institute of Miami (2006) where she developed her rolled fabric technique, exhibited in New York, Miami, and Buenos Aires. She achieved MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College (2015), where she created a series of interactive durational performances encouraging audiences to explore a collective altered state of consciousness.

Magali owns and administrates the Om’echaye Wellness Center in Hallandale Beach, Florida for over a decade together with her family. She received certifications in massage therapy and Yoga instruction, and offered those services along with Sound Healing and Meditation to thousands of clients. She created Life & Matter, the Art-Healing and production division, where she offered creative art classes, and workshops, and art productions. Magali has a number of collectors of her rolled fabric art work, including the Williamsburg Art & Historic Center, the Yuko Nii Foundation, as well as private collectors including doctors, therapists, and other practitioners.

Currently, Magali Lives in Brooklyn NY, where she exhibits her work in a number of galleries, takes on commissions, and owns her own healing practice. She works together with her husband to produce and present art shows, performances, workshops, and expressive art classes.

Magali and her family share the mission of blending art within all aspects of their life, including education, philosophy, wellness, community building, and art making.
